The contributor journey

How supporting a founder works.

Step 01

You receive a personal invite

A founder you know — a friend, family member, or colleague — sends you a personal link to their FirstCircleFund campaign.

Step 02

You review their campaign

The campaign page shows their story, their funding goal, their use of funds, and their milestones. No login required just to look.

Step 03

You choose how to show up

Gift tier: give any amount as a pure expression of support. Reward tier: give a fixed amount in exchange for something the founder is offering — early access, a session, or a product.

Step 04

You stay in the loop

When the founder hits milestones, you get an update. You're not just a donor — you're a witness to the journey.

Three ways to show up

Pick the mindset that fits you.

Gift Giver

You want to show love and momentum. A clean contribution, no expectations, no perks — just belief made tangible.

Early Adopter

You want a stake in what they're building. Rewards let you taste the product, claim a seat, or commemorate Day One.

Accountability Partner

You want to walk alongside them. Recurring giving and milestone updates keep you in the story for the long haul.

Contribution tiers

Two ways to contribute.

🎁
Tier · Gift

Pure support, no reward.

A clean contribution. You're not buying anything — you're saying "I'm with you." Gifts are simple, fast, and create no obligation for the founder to deliver perks.

Examples
  • Your cousin starting a bakery
  • A mentee's first venture
  • A friend pivoting careers
Suggested amounts
$25$50$100$250Custom
Tier · Reward

Support plus a tangible perk.

You contribute at a set amount and receive something meaningful in return — early access, a session, a product, a founder dinner. Every reward has a fulfillment timeline the founder commits to.

Examples
  • 1-hour strategy session — $150
  • First 50 customer slot — $300
  • Founding member dinner — $500
Tracked · Fulfillment status is visible to you in your contributor dashboard — you'll always know what's owed, what's shipped, and when.

Transparency

We say the quiet part out loud.

Direct to the founder via Stripe

Your contribution goes directly to the founder through Stripe's secure payment system. FirstCircleFund never holds or routes your funds.

Voluntary & non-refundable

Contributions are gifts or reward-pledges — not retail transactions. Once made, they go to the founder and aren't clawed back. We tell you that upfront.

Recurring fully in your control

Every recurring charge is preceded by a reminder. Cancel in one tap, anytime, no questions.

Your consent is logged

Every checkbox you tick is time-stamped and stored. You and the founder both have a clean paper trail.

What you're NOT agreeing to
  • Equity, ownership, or a financial return
  • A loan or repayment obligation from the founder
  • Hidden fees or surprise charges down the line
  • Sharing your contact info with third parties

Real ventures are unpredictable. Real support doesn't require a perfect outcome.

Some campaigns hit every milestone. Others pivot, slow down, or quietly close. When you contribute through FirstCircleFund, you're backing a person on a journey — not buying a guaranteed result.

We make this explicit so the relationship stays whole, no matter how the venture lands.
